Identifying Your Assignment; Necessary Fulfillment

I would like to think of this as a sequel to my first post "Find it! Live it! Accept it!" (please scroll down to read for a better understanding). people know that there is this thing you should be doing, you believe that once you begin, there is no turning back because it assures you of a fulfilled life. But the problem is that you don't know how to find it. Recently i started reading a book 'The Assignment' by the wonderful Dr. Mike Murdock (i strongly recommend it). In the pages of this book is over thirty years of study, teaching, and practical experience. As i read through, i realised that it was like a continuation of my first post so i decided to share the wisdom in his words and some of the facts he mentioned. I would be sharing 3 facts on how you can identify your assignment.

First of all, you are unique! But what is it that makes you unique? What do you love to talk about the most? What subject gets you the most excited? That been answered, Dr. Mike Murdock stated that he recently had a conversation with his staff. In his words, "if every human on earth was paid $10 an hour for work regardless of the type of job, what would you do? For example, if you choose to be a janitor of a building, you would receive $10 an hour for it. And if you decided that you want to be heart surgeon, you would still receive $10 an hour. He went further to say "what would you love to do if money was no longer a factor in it? Love births wisdom; your love for something gives birth to an extraordinary tenacity, determination, and persistence. When you have a special kind of love for children, a special wisdom begins to grow and develop in you towards children. He explained that you begin to understand them, their tears, fears, and desire. Same thing applies when you have love for animals, music, art of dancing, soccer, basketball, golf, tennis, swimming, running, politics, art, singing, writing, talking, teaching, and so on.

He mentioned that he recently read a powerful story about a runner who had a terrible disease and the doctors insisted that he would never be able to even walk again. But something powerful was within him (his love for running) his love for running built up the determination needed and he ended up winning a gold medal in the Olympics.

Find out what you truly and consistently love, then build your daily agenda around it, because that which you truly love the most is a clue to marvellous gifts, skills and quality inside of you. Have in mind that even though you are probably making so much money from your current work or you are famous or on that road; that does not qualify it your assignment. Just answer the question HONESTLY ; WHAT WOULD I LOVE TO DO IF MONEY WAS NO LONGER A FACTOR IN IT?
And when you find that out, you have found your ASSIGNMENT.

Please visit again next week as i write about the second and third fact to consider in identifying your assignment.

Indeed this serves as a nice way to discover our heart desires purposes and visions. What of if he or she makes efforts to no avail? You like to run but age has hit you so you can't be that Commonwealth or Olympic athlete or even run to earn. Some of these assignments seem to be for our own self development, whilst others stand out as our work to solve challenging issues, help, comfort and guide people on earth. This however boils down to us seeking the face of God first and praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit...

I love this chidimma..as I am struggling to organize myself with my passion for photography and running a family..I am encouraged to work it hard in balancing the two as they are special to me.
I appreciate you Uche for sharing that. God is the sole inspiration, we can't do anything without him. so when we are stuck, just ask for a new direction to reach the same goal.
thank you Pancy, i appreciate your thought. just keep working at them and God won't stop being faithful.
