Imagination And Freedom Of Choice: What You Make Of It

As i seat to write this, trying to recount my imaginations, i just realise that i can't put a number on how many times i have imagined. One thing i notice though, is that it is conscious effort; you don't imagine in your sleep, you don't imagine when you are too angry or too excited, you don't imagine when you are stressed out to that point where all you want to do is lay and rest. Rather it takes place when yo want it to. How many times have you sat to imagine things that will stir you up to be a better person? Imagination is one of the most advance human faculties; in it there is creativity, resourcefulness, hope, self - motivation. The dictionary defines imagination as the image - making power of the mind: the act of creating or reproducing ideally an object not previously perceived. Whatever action taken or about to be taken goes through the mind first. The mind is a set of cognitive faculties that enables consciousness, perception, thinking, judgement and memory, (by wikipedia). After a lengthy tradition of inquires in philosophy, religion, psychology and cognitive science it's been concluded that the mind enables a being to have subjective awareness and intentionality towards their environment.  This emphasizes that we are in control of our thought process and responsible for everything that comes out of us which mostly translates to words and show of emotions or our actions. So if we are in control, doesn't it mean that we express what we have permitted our minds to feel?
